I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself….. I have been a massage therapist since 2014 and absolutely love it. The human body and mind have fascinated me from a young age, which explains my love for massage and also explain my previous career as a nurse.
My interest in massage therapy started in my teens and then, while living in Australia, I became aware of massage being utilised not only for relaxation purposes but also for the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and dysfunction (remedial massage). After witnessing the benefits of remedial massage first hand I decided this was something I would like to learn.
Having worked in a range of environments, I have a breadth of knowledge that I can bring to your treatment. To date I have provided massage in various clinical environments and sporting events. Clients experience a reduction in pain, increased movement and a sense of relaxation following a treatment, which makes my job the best job in the world.
Out with work I keep active by running, walking the dog, swimming and personal training. I particularly love yoga for it’s ability to improve physical strength, flexibility and reduce back pain, not to mention it’s impact on mental wellbeing; similarly I am a strong advocate of using mindfulness meditation for managing the challenges of a busy modern life.
As you can see my experience and interests are varied and in turn I bring much of this to the therapy I provide. I believe I can offer something to each individual who walks through my door.
